Is it just me or does it feel odd to read about a game technology update from The Huffington Post? No matter! I am grateful to the Huffington Post for this news! Straight out of the Huffington Post's article: "With Microsoft IllumniRoom, the images of your video game won't end at the edges of your TV screen, but will instead fan out to the walls of your video gaming play place."
Seriously, this is something you need to see rather than read about (see video below). Personally, I worry about the immersive nature of the technology. I know, I know, the point IS to be immersive. However, I think there is also a point that it becomes dangerous. After playing 6 hours of Dragon's Dogma, I remember feeling so disoriented about what was real (for that some reason, that game is so jerky or grainy that it makes me sick after playing for too long). I went on a run, and I had a hard time adjusting back to reality. Maybe it's just me, but there is going to be a line to cross at some point where something is TOO immersive. However, regardless of my feelings, Microsoft has come up with something interesting, and I appreciate that!
